How to calculate your grade in a class
If your class grades on total points, your grade is simply all the points you've earned divided by all the points possible so far.
Example
= (270 ÷ 300) × 100 = 90% — an A−.
Points vs. weighted grades
Some classes don't use raw points — they weight categories (Exams 40%, Homework 30%…). If your syllabus lists category percentages, use the weighted grade calculator instead. Want to know what you need on the final? Use the final grade calculator.
